Michele Mikki Jones is an executive assistant, author and speaker. A graduate of Tidewater Community College with an Associates in Applied Science in Human Services, she is also a current student at Norfolk State University pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and founder of “Being My Sista’s Keeper” and “Living with Lupus 365”.

Michele’s ability to survive for the past eighteen years with Lupus enables her to encourage, support, and inspire others who have been diagnosed to understand and thrive with such a debilitating disease. As a survivor and motivational speaker and advocate for Lupus, Michele offers a wide range of personal experience and tips that focus on living healthy and self-care.

Michele is author of The Poetry of My Life and Lupus 365-A Journey Thru Life (The Journal) and is currently finishing her second book of poetry – Gathering the Pieces. She also sponsors a team with the Lupus Foundation of America – Lupus Loop! – Alice’s Garden and is a team member with Keep It Movin’- Kim. Michele is an avid runner and has completed 5 Half Marathons and numerous 10K, 8K and 5K races.

Michele has four adult children and nine grandchildren.
